General Assembly - The General Assembly is the top policy making body of CVAG. The General Assembly is required to meet annually to elect officers and adopt work plans and a budget for the ensuing year.
Executive Committee - A policy making tool for the local governments of the Coachella Valley
- Determines the policies that direct the activities of CVAG’s staff and other committees and monitors their performance.
- Serves as the review body for projects of regional significance.
- Acts on behalf of CVAG’s General Assembly between meetings of the General Assembly.
- Reviews CVAG’s financial affairs and directs the development of work plans for CVAG committees.
- Oversees personnel matters through the Personnel Committee.
- Reviews and acts on the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) recommendations.
Technical Advisory Committee - A regional approach to the operations of local governments in the Coachella Valley
- Advises the Executive Committee on implementation of the Coachella Valley Regional Transportation Program.
- Coordinates legislative advocacy effecting the Coachella Valley.
- Reviews all committees’ plans for new programs.
- Acts as the Hearing Body for the Executive Committee on TUMF appeals.
- Develops liaison with the Western Riverside Council of Governments on all matters of mutual interest.
- Develops mechanisms for the exchange of ideas and discussion of issues for both elected officials and staff members.
