Roy’s Desert Resource Center, (Roy's) named in honor of the late County Supervisor, Roy Wilson, is the first comprehensive homeless center to be built in the Western Coachella Valley. ( Roy's is the first step in a regional Strategic Plan to End Homelessness established by the Coahcella Valley Association of Governments' (CVAG) Homelessness Committee.

Roy's is operated by Desert SOS
and offers services to families and single adults who are homeless in the Coachella Valley. Eligible participants are transported to and from Roy's after gathering at strategically located pick-up points. Staff screens participants, coordinate case management services for clients once they have successfully completed the application process.

Eligible clients are homeless, drug free, physically able to care for them-selves, and have not been convicted of a violent felony or sexual offence. Eligible clients may remain in the Program at Roy's for a maximun of 120 days based on their progress. Clients participate in case management activities and receive the tools necessary to secure housing and successfully end their-homelessness.

Clients may access services and shelter daily based upon available space by being present at the following pick-up locations at the designated times:

Clients may bring one bag for personal items that fit comfortably on their lap.

Roy's is located at 19531 McLane Street in North Palm Springs, near Indian Canyon Drive and Interstate 10. Clients with their own transportation may bypass the designated pick-up locations and access Roy's services daily using their own means of transportation for entrance to Roy's no earlier than 4:00 p.m.

Roy's Desert Resource Center is located at 19531 McLane Street, North Palm Springs, California.

DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 10, exit on North Indian Canyon Drive and turn north. Turn left at 19th Avenue, then left at McLane Street. The building is located straight ahead, just before the road curves sharply to the left. Roy's parking is located at the southwest corner of the building.
